love your body 5k run.

Girls Weekend: We have been planning this for about 1 month when Katelyn saw this running ad in the paper she insisted we did it.  We then signed up for the race that week. The funny thing is I signed up for the 15k thinking that is what Katelyn wanted to do...yeah I was wrong..weird.  She signed up for the 5k. Luckily my mom switched it and got our money back because we both decided to do the 5K because of the 15K course said it was going to be rocky and my mom didn't want to run on that. My right arch was also hurting so it worked out just perfect.  It was fun Katelyn's friend Kristen came with us as well. We stopped at this delicious place called Kava in bountiful. It is much better then Jamba Juice. Funny thing is we were just about to pull out and Katelyn was in her car and I drove my jeep and we looked at each other and knew we needed to take a photo...weather it be for our blog. instagram...just memories.
They both stayed the night at my family's place in salt lake.
Saturday Morning: we woke up bright and early and put on our pink attire. Katelyn and Kristen were nice enough to find time to dye some long pink socks for us. They looked excellent! Thanks girls! They both are the best and like I have said before never a dull moment with any of my roommates and friends. Then we went to Sandy where the Girls Race began. We took lots of pictures as you can see below. It was a pretty course especially the part running on the dirt.  I was so proud of my mom, Katelyn and Kristen they did an excellent job and we all finished.  The best part of course is the treats and water at the end. My mom likes to get the most out of her money spent on races...she goes to the extreme and probably had 9 water bottles 5 milks and who knows how many yogurt. We all got a good kick out of it. Thanks mom for doing this girls run with us it was fun. It made me also appreciate how strong my roommate Katelyn in. Her mom is fighter and is not giving up. Their family is one of the strongest families I know. They make the best of any situation or trial given to them. I know this run was just what Katelyn needed and to reflect and send some photos to her mom. We were all there to support her. I ran for her mom as well as my mom's mom so my grandma.  Everyone in life is fighting a hard battles some harder then others. We need to be there for each person, cheering them on to the finish line. Helping those around us. Being a light. Being an example. Sharing a simple smile. I know I have been blessed and hope to bless those around me. Thanks Mom and Katelyn for your examples. Love you both!!

our awesome pink socks. and numbers.
finished. Our cute little medals. Yeah for runners.

Before I headed back to Logan. My family, Katelyn and Kristen and I were all able to go get some lunch. We were starving. Of course the place we went to go eat was NOODLES. i love noodlez....noodlezzz for life. Love every single person in this photo.
