Congrats Katelyn

Displaying photo.JPG
I am so proud of Katelyn!
She is my roommate, my best friend and basically my sister up here in Logan.  She is an amazing example and I look up to her in many ways. She has been through a lot and keeps on striving to do her best and be her best in any given circumstance. WE have had many fun memories we have created and honestly say she is my FAVORITE roommate of all time. (shh don't tell anyone its a secret). We have had many talks and really can talk to each other about anything. I know she is there for me when I am having a bad day or just need someone to talk to. She has an incredible personality and it shines when you get to know her and live with her.  She is incredbily hilarious whether it is her ( up do bun that looks like emperous new groove) (flossing her teeth) (trying to be a morning person with her student teaching) (her not wanting to wear pants) ( silly snap chats) (akward boy stories) (crushes we might have) (awkward moments) (crafts) (cooking)(hot tubing)  The list can go on and on and on. If you need a friend she is the friend that everyone needs to have.  I love that she gave me two cordory pants green and brown. They honestly are my favorite pants ha ha! She has cute fashion and we share clothes and jewlery which is always a plus as a roommate. I wish she was just a little bit TALLER and we could share more clothes but that is okay. She also ran a HALF MARATHON with me which she said she would never do.....well she did! (proud runner love roommate)  Katelyn has a huge heart and is willing to give and willing to serve. I have loved seeing her get up each morning early and get ready to go to her student teaching. For not being a morning person.....i think she has developed the (cause she had to) love for being awake in the morning. Okay okay maybe she isn't a morning person but she tries to ha ha! Katelyn is an amazing person and has an incredible family in Wisconsin. I was able to visit her family over the summer break and honestly it was so much fun! I loved getting to know where she grew up and getting to know her brother, dad and mom.  Her family is also amazing and they have been through many trials but keep on smiling and keep on moving forward. I know where Katelyn gets it from is her parents.  They are also hilarious as well! ha ha good times for sure.
I just want to express my love and gratitude to this awesome roommate of mine!
Yes I am bragging but she deserve every bit of it.
Congrats on your Last day as a Student Teacher.
I am excited for you and your future plans and goals in life.
If i was a student I would love to have Miss Kate as a teacher! Love yeah girl! Keep up the good work!

sunday smiles.

Displaying photo 1.JPGRichard thought the family ward was at 10:00 Kimberly thought it was at 9:00 and then I thought it was at 10:00 so Sterling and I woke up and got ready for church and I called my mom to see what time the family ward was at......the time was 9:45 well looks like church was at 9:00 missed it. we all laughed
.

good thing for technology. Sterling and I looked up to find a ward at 11:00 around my familys area. We found one in the Eastmillcreek area and we went there at 11:00. Love going to church with my family. I love the gospel and how even though we went to a different church. I still felt the spirit and the love of the savior. I enjoyed hearing that ward members testimonies. It makes me appreciate my very own testimony and the strong desire I have for this gospel. I love being able to take the sacrament each week to renew my covenants. Because I am not perfect and striving each day to be better but at times I fail.

Sunday Smiles:
I wanted to take a photo with my sister and then one with Sterling.
I am so grateful for these two they make me smile and laugh.
I am grateful for an awesome sister who I can look up to, she is amazing and I am excited for her to live with me in this spring. It will be an exciting fun time.
I am grateful for Sterling for putting up with me and all the good memories we have created.

park city lovin.

Displaying photo 1.JPGmy parents are so sweet.
They went up to Park city for a time share this weekend and invited Sterling and I up for the day as well as Kimberly Richard and David. It is so pretty up in Park City.
I love driving through the canyon. It makes me grateful for the beauty that surrounds me. The mountains were breathtaking.
The simple drive up was pleasant.  We got there and my family was starving.
Sterling and I already ate before hand so we decided to go with them and just hang out and leave when their food comes. We talked and their food came. Sterling and I went exploring.
The place was called WestGate resort.
It was gorgeous and up in the mountains. They had two ski lifts going at the time and we decided to ride both of them down. It takes you down to the parking lot and back up to the hotels.
We rode the first one. it was a littly chilly but it went by way to fast.
We took some pictures- we do look a little cold but cute at the same time.
I just had to kiss sterling when we were riding down.
He was just to cute holding me so I wouldn't get cold, and dealing with me taking pictures ha ha
Oh man that man is sometimes just too good.

Then we rode another one then went back to the Hotel after my family ate dinner we all played a round of PHASE 10. I love that game it was way fun. We were playing in the game area which was by the swimming pool. Which on the way my dad was trying to be back in his young years  ha ha!
Displaying photo 3.JPGDisplaying photo 4.JPGDisplaying photo 2.JPG
With the Phase 10 game Sterling and my dad both won. With this game though it does take some time and we were all wearing out so we all got our swimsuits and went hot tubbing. The hot tub was outside but it was a nice evening and we just soaked up the heat relaxin.
It was a nice relaxing evening in Park City
love spending time with my family.

My mom and I went for a morning run. It was a beautiful morning and she took me by this path she usually runs and it is by Mitt Romney's new house that they are building. Okay it was huge. I mean huge. It was a pretty little public road that goes right behind it. It was a fun adventure run. I enjoyed running with my mom. She is much better running then I am....I have to keep up with her.

Sterling came to my family's house for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was a treat to have him and I was glad he was able to come and wasn't to scared of my family ha ha!

Helped set the table.

That is one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving. Is we get out the Thanksgiving plates and silverware and make it all fancy. Just having my family at the table and Sterling was a blessing. I am truly blessed for my family and Sterling and the delicious dinner we were able to eat.

Here is my beautiful sister and I on Thanksgiving day! Lover her and blessed to have her in my life
Displaying photo 5.PNG
thanks to my mom for cooking.  She works to hard and I hope to be just like her one day in the future. She is an amazing example to me and I look up to her each and every day. Love you mom! Thanks for the delicious thanksgiving.

I am grateful. I am thankful. I am blessed.

then after dinner we headed up to Sterlings grandma and grandpa's house.

I went to Thor with Sterling, Skylar, Stran and his mom (aunt) Kristy.

shooting it up.

Displaying photo 2.PNGSterling. Skylar, Stran, and their granpa Neil and I all went up to their family farm and went clay pigeon shooting. It was a perfect sunny afternoon to go shooting. They all piled their guns and amo in the car and off we went to go shooting.

It was fun. These boys are hilarious. I love when they start to do a competition and who can hit the clay pigeion first or if you miss then the next person in line tries to hit it. It was fun to watch them all shoot especially Sterlings cute grandpa. He works as hard as the boys. I hope when I am old I am just like his grandparents active and love being outside with their grand kids. Its cute.

Here are the four boys with their guns. attractive yes.

Sterling and I ( skylar decided to keep snapping photos and I just couldn't pick which one to put on my blog so all 4 of them are on here) ha ha. oh man good times for sure.

It was a fun eventful afternoon shooting with the boys. I am glad I could join them. Thanks to Sterling for letting me shoot his pistol and showing me how to shoot a couple of them and reminding me how to upload the gun. One thing for him he loves the farm and loves shooting. Those two are his favorite things to do.

last day of nOOdles.

well folks. sunday was my last nOOdles shift.
it was a sad evening but yet an exciting one.
I have worked here for 2 1/2 years.....i am addicted to their food.....I might actually go back for one night a week so I can get my excellent discount. I just don't know how to survive without noodles.
haha. still trying to decided what to do.
Displaying photo 3.JPG
My family was so sweet and came up to Logan just to visit my on my LAST noodles shift. I love them so much and love how much they support me in what I do. I was able to eat with them on my last shift and actually sit down and eat. I am grateful for my boyfriend for also coming and joining my family. Don't we look like a cute bunch. well if you don't know us we basically are ha ha!
It felt weird and didn't hit me at work until a week later I realized shooot I want noodles. shoot I don't work there any more. shoot I don't have a pay check anymore.
still searching for a job hopefully something comes in Januaray. I am leaving for christmas break so the month of December I will be jobless which has been hard but at the same time it has been nice.

As a shift manager we needed to celebrate my last noodles shift. WE made hoe made whip cream and sauted some delicious chocolate chip and snicker doodle cookies they were delicious! Bascially the best treat to make when it is slow, or just to celebrate. I loved working with Laura the girl on the right she did make the best whip cream when doing these...it was a tradition ha ha yum!

I am grateful for the chance I had at working at Noodles and Company and the chance to be a Shift Manager and actually run the WHOLE shift whether it be evening or morning. I learned a lot about counting the drawers and the safe. I learned a lot how to handle situations. I learned when it is busy you can only do so much as a shift manager. I learned how to delegate tasks to co-workers. I learned how to check everyone off at the end of the night. I was the girl in charge. I was the manager. I was the one people came to for problems. I was the one who had to type my password in the computer when deleting an item or doing an allergy aware. When someone called to speak to a manager, the phone was then handed to me. I love working with people and expanded my experience working with people at Noodles and Company. I learned how to make EVERYTHING on the menu. I have TRIED EVERYTHING on the menu. lets just say noodles food is still delicious! I never once got sick of the food and over the 2 1/2 years i might be crazy but I mostly got the Pesto Cavatappi and the Penne Rosa, Mac and Cheese and Spagahteii (for my half marathongs). The food I still am craving. I don't know what it is about pasta....but dang it is always GOOD....always! Sterling my roommates and my family call me crazy...even my co workers do...but it is just so appealing! yuM! I want noodles right now as I am typing this post for my blog. crazy crazy me. I learned how to dress like a shift manager wearing an ugly polo shirt with my name tag on it. I learned how to count inventory ( which I hated and dreaded every shift but it needed to be done) I learned how to make company deposits at the bank and how to write one up. I learned how to keep track of Sales during the hour and what we were projected during the shift. I learned how to control labor hours reflecting on the amount of sales that shift. I learned how to work well with people and be the one in charge, but also have a good time and make it a fun experience for each co-worker that walked in the door. It is important as a shift manager to be aware of the guests as well as my co-workers and help out when needed. I learned when it is busy (friday shift beginning of november) that as a manager you can't freak out. You have to jump into positions where they are needed to help. I learned how to mulit-task  and like I said jump into different shift positions to help. I learned how to change the drink machine and the sugar in the back. I learned how to cook all the food. I learned how to call ITT tech when machines up front aren't going the way they were suppose to. I learned how to deal with difficult customers, as well as the favorite regulars knowing them by name and even what they usually get. (creating some friendships). I learned how to work under managers who at times I didn't like because they were lazy, but realized I needed to run the shift i was given 110%. I learned that as a shift manager I can only do so much, and at some evenings it was hard and made me feel like a complete failure, but realizing that there will be another new fresh start tommorrow. I learned to work with slow people who would get their job done but at a snail pace. I loved and created many friendships with other c0-workers at noodles and company.  I learned how to lock up the front door and put the security lock system in.  This job became easy because of the same routine given. I loved working there. I loved working under my main manager Keven (who no longer works there and is the manager of five guys).  I am grateful for the opportunity I had at working at noodles and company. I never thought I would be a shift manager and didn't really want the position but knew I needed a raise and knew I needed to test and grow in the experience. It was hard but it was worth every shift.

Two Thumbs Up for Shift Manager at Noodles
I am excited and looking for new opportunities and experience to grow.
Thanks Noodles and Company for your delicious food!!
